About

I am a graduate of the University of Mary Washington with a lifelong passion for history, and especially the American Civil War. I have worked as a historical interpreter on the Wilderness battlefield, an intern at the James Monroe Museum, and a volunteer researcher for the National Park Service. To date I have authored two scholarly historical publications on the Civil War, and two others on Middle Eastern history. I am also a competitively rated fencer and am professionally certified as a fencing referee and coach.
